Engineering Lead

Company Overview Reporting to: Head of Engineering Global Insurance Company 500+ Employee Hybrid Working arrangement - 2/3 days in offices. Sydney CBD Location.

Overview: You will be leading and shaping a growing engineering team whilst being responsible for leading development and design of our core platform.

• Lead the development and implementation of complex web applications and APIs, leveraging strong technical expertise in software engineering principles and best practices.
• Mentor and guide technical teams, ensuring high-quality, end-to-end application development while enhancing developer productivity through advanced tooling and process improvements.

Responsibilities/ Requirements:

• Proven experience in Leading the development team in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend and frontend architectures while ensuring high-quality, well-tested code.
• Foster a high-performing team culture through tailored coaching, continuous improvement processes, and proactive risk management.
• Provide feedback to stakeholders on project feasibility and timelines and anticipate technology trends that impact customer experience. Etc.
• Over 8 years' experience in .Net/C# development.
• Strong API experience - RESTful/Microservices.
• Experience with AWS/Azure.
