Scrum Master - NSW Government Location: Parramatta, Sydney, with great WFH flexibility Rate: $900 - $950 per day + Super Contract Length: 6 months with probable extension Note: Must have 5yrs+ experience as a Scrum Master, leading project teams in Agile, preferably in the Education & Government/Public sector.We are currently seeking an experienced Scrum Master for our NSW Government client who will be responsible for leading and facilitating scrum ceremonies including sprint and release planning, daily stand ups, sprint review and retrospectives. in the growing ECE directorate.The role works closely with technical team members in order to ensure the delivery of program is setup with consideration of solution design principles.Preferable to have experience working in Education & Government programs.Keys to Role: Roles will suit an experienced Scrum Master:
- 5+ years as a Scrum Master
- Helped to deliver successful enterprise-level application development projects
- Comfortable in an ambiguous and fast paced environment
Role details:
- Lead and facilitate scrum ceremonies including sprint and release planning, daily stand ups, sprint review and retrospectives.
- Ensure sprint ceremonies achieve the desired outcomes for the program
- Monitoring progress and performance using data in Jira and helping teams to make improvements.
- Effective management of Jira and working closely with the Product Owner and Business Analyst
- Planning and organising demos and product/system testing.
- Understand and remove impediments for the scrum team.
- Generating burndown chats to track sprint and release progress.
- Utilise Agile Software Development and continuous delivery techniques
- Using Agile methodology values, principles, and practices to plan, manage, and deliver solutions.
Training, coaching, mentoring, and supporting scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
- Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
- Ensuring dependencies across teams are effectively managed so that the squad's work is not blocked
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
- Certified scrum master, SAFe preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a scrum master or in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban, to deliver solutions.
- Leadership and management experience.
- Excellent people and project management skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
