Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of digital projects on behalf of our NT Government client, overseeing all aspects from feasibility studies and business cases to successful project delivery. Your leadership will ensure that projects meet strategic goals, adhere to high professional standards, and are delivered within the agreed time, quality, and resource constraints.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management: Lead a team of project managers, coordinators, business analysts, and subject matter experts to deliver a diverse range of digital projects.
  • Project Planning: Develop and quality assure feasibility studies, implementation planning studies, and business cases to support strategic alignment with Agency needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to implement business requirements and priorities effectively.
  • Project Oversight: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project plans, ensuring they adapt to changes as projects progress.
  • Reporting: Produce clear, high-quality reports on project progress and performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Delivery Assurance: Ensure projects are completed within time, quality, and resource constraints, managing risks and issues proactively.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Project Management Expertise: Extensive experience in project management with strong skills in governance, planning, risk and issue management.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead end-to-end delivery of significant business system and complex change projects with strong change management skills.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent skills in negotiating and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes.
  • Vendor Management: Experience in managing commercial engagements with contracted vendors to deliver innovative results in a complex resourcing environment.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated success in building, managing, and leading high-performance teams to deliver customer-focused results.
  • Change Management: Proven ability to support change management efforts to integrate new ICT capabilities with organizational transformation needs.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Resilience: High level of resilience, self-discipline, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Project Management Methodology: Knowledge of and experience with Prince2 methodology is preferred.
