A client in Financial Services is looking for a well-versed Java developer to join their team as a Senior Software Engineer. Working in an Agile environment, you will use your expertise to support the design and development of software solutions focusing on customer driven and business critical initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Improve on best practices whilst adhering to the standards of delivery within the organisation
• Support documentation of functional and technical specifications
• Design and develop solutions to meet business requirements
• Review codes and programming activities, identifying areas of improvement
• Improve CI/CD pipelines (e.g. decrease build times and increase automation)
• Using Technologies including Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript using REST/Web services to integrate with systems and databases.
• Adhere to governance and regulatory compliance standard within the financial services industry

Essential Requirements of the ideal candidate

• Senior Software Engineer with a Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience on Java development
• Experience within Financial Services is highly regarded
• Strong experience with Spring/Springboot, Hibernate, Junit, Maven/Gradle, GIT, JIRA

• Well versed in Database Management Systems including designing database objects
• Experience working on full system development life cycle.
• Passionate in technology development and ensuring best practice
• Experience working in agile project environments
