Role: IT Project Officer (Grade 7/8)Annual Salary: $106,000 - $117,000 + SuperContract Length: Initial contract until 30/06/25 (likely extension)Location: Wollongong/WFH Flex

The Role:

The Project Officer - ICT is responsible for managing and supporting a range of project activities to ensure successful delivery of projects. This includes preparing project documentation, coordinating resources, and implementing and monitoring project plans in accordance with established agency methodologies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Project Management Support: Provide comprehensive project management and support services including the preparation of briefs, coordination of resources, maintenance of project documentation, and implementation and monitoring of project plans to ensure timely, on-budget, and quality delivery of project outcomes.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation purposes to ensure the accessibility of quality information and contribute to achieving project objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees, and consultations to facilitate information exchange and support project completion in alignment with project plans.
  • Data & Reporting: Source, collate, and compile data to identify emerging issues, track progress, and report on project milestones and deliverables.
  • Research & Analysis: Undertake research and analysis to identify trends and prepare project briefs, supporting informed decision-making and planning.
  • Post-Implementation Review: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to conduct post-implementation reviews and analysis, providing guidance and recommending solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Impact Measurement: Conduct research, analysis, and modeling to assess the impacts of proposed changes to ICT Infrastructure for the Local Investment in Facilities and Teams Program.
  • Service Coordination: Coordinate and report on the delivery of ICT services across various internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience in projects involving the design, development, and procurement of ICT infrastructure, systems, or services.
  • Thorough knowledge of AIIMS principles and processes, or willingness to obtain competence within 12 months.
