Duties

• Lead and manage a large Quality Engineering and Testing Team
• Implement test strategies and quality approaches aligned to a modern testing governance framework
• Work with new technologies, ensuring high quality and testing practices across the delivery cycles
• Support a team in maturing test practices and skills development, covering functional and non-functional testing
• Ensure test practices are contemporary and consistent, test automation is implemented and testing seamlessly fits into the CI/CD process
• Actively contribute to workshops and similar forums from a testing perspective where new initiatives are discussed and planned
• Work closely with project and other business stakeholders to ensure understanding of requirements and to communicate test status, risks and issues
• Closely engage with the program Engineering team to drive shift left and quality engineering practices

Skills and experience

• In-depth testing experience in a structured environment; with experience in large and complex programs
• Track record of experience in managing system, system integration, regression and end-to-end testing
• In depth experience in communicating test progress. Issues and plans with a view of risk mitigation and coverage.
• Created and implemented test strategies and test plans with a focus on BDD or TDD practices
• Worked as part of medium to large sized project teams
• Test lead and management experience
• Broad experience with CI/CD processes, automation and other engineering practices
• Proven track record of building strong relationships with a broad set of stakeholders
