Exciting opportunities for a number of top Technical Leads to join one of Australia's leading Big4 Banks, working on a Greenfield project within the Business & Wealth area of the bank. You will play a key role in the design and development of a new loans originations platform from scratch, that will replace 30 systems across the bank. Greenfield project - All code has been written from scratch within the past year, no legacy tech and building a data platform to support future AI automations at the bank! **AU Citizen or PR candidates only ** **Sydney based role** **Hybrid - 50% in CBD office ** Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software solutions for critical application projects, enhancements, and maintenance.
  • Contribute to detailed design documents to finalize solution sizing and costing.
  • Apply Design Thinking principles to ensure customer-centric, viable, and feasible solutions.
  • Create operational and system documentation for effective maintenance and support.
  • Plan and conduct unit testing to ensure quality and purpose-fit deliverables.
  • Clarify technical requirements with business to align system changes with long-term goals.
  • Mentor and coach a team of junior-mid level engineers and participate in code reviews.
  • Act as a technical SME on engineering and design technical queries.

Key Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in full-stack development, particularly with Java, Spring, JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS
  • Expertise in building APIs and microservices/microfrontends.
  • Experience working on complex, large-scale enterprise systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
  • Hands on experience with Kafka
  • Computer Science degree or strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
  • Proven experience as a passionate technical leader, having coached and mentored a small team of engineers.
  • Particiapted in code reviews.
  • Confident stakeholder engager and comfortable providing technical expertise and guidance when needed.
  • Passionate about learning new technologies and staying updated with the latest industry trends.
  • Interest or experience in AI/chatbots (nice to have).
