Role: Principal Data EngineerDaily Rate: $900 - $1100 + SuperContract End Date: 30/06/25 (likely extension)Location: Parramatta/WFH

The Role

In this role you will provide technical leadership to deliver expertise in the design and development of data products and data related services. You will also drive development of data processing frameworks and data architectural approcahes scaled to business demands.

Key Accountabilities

• Partner with customers and stakeholders to design, build and maintain databases, ETL pipelines and management systems and provide end to end solutions to meet business needs.
• Manage end-to-end delivery of data management systems and solution from concepts to production deployment including testing and integration to ensure fit for purpose solutions through engineering, deployment and commercialisation.
• Contribute to ongoing management of data management sytems and solutions including enhancements, capacity management, performance monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues to ensure effective and optimal usage of sytems and resources
• Identify, design, and evaluate process improvements to deliver automation, optimise data delivery and re-design infrastructure for greater scalability
• Take technical ownership for data and data pipelines to ensure compliance with data standards, architectural standards, and achievement of business requirements
• Monitor systems, identify risk and emerging issues and recommend solutions to ensure compliance with data, information and security managment requirements
• Collaborate with senior Leaders and other customers and stakeholders to ensure active support and resolution of risk related matters to align with organisational requirements and business objectives.

About You

• Experience in RDBMS products such as Oracle, AWS, RDS services (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Graph Database products.
• Experience in API framworks (SQL, Python) and associated big data processing libraries such as Spark.
• Strong knowledge of stream data processing frameworks such as AirFlow
• Knowledge of data warehousing technologies such as AWS Redshift
