Our client is a dynamic and agile organization dedicated to maintaining and delivering essential infrastructure across New South Wales. The procurement team is expanding to meet increasing demands, and we are seeking a skilled Category Specialist to join their established team.
The Role
As Category Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the procurement team, focusing on sourcing and pre-contract activities. You will handle complex projects ranging from $500K to $1.5M, including priced, non-priced, and open tenders. Your expertise in NSW Government procurement frameworks, policies, acts, and schemes will be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for complex projects.
- Manage procurement processes for priced and non-priced panels, and open tenders.
- Evaluate suppliers, write evaluation reports, and ensure compliance with NSW Government procurement frameworks.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sourcing and procurement, preferably within the NSW Government.
- Strong understanding of NSW Government procurement frameworks, policies, acts, and schemes.
- Excellent analytical and evaluation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
