Are you passionate about providing exceptional customer service? Join a dedicated and collaborative team, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the people of NSW. The branch administers energy rebates and crisis payments, delivering millions of dollars in assistance to low-income and vulnerable households annually.
As Call Centre Operator, you will be part of either the Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) or Energy Rebates and Bill Relief teams. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality customer service and administrative support. This includes assessing customer eligibility for government support and coordinating with energy retailers to provide additional assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers via phone and email to verify their eligibility for support programs.
- Collaborate with energy retailers to identify and provide additional support options for customers.
- Deliver empathetic and effective communication, especially when dealing with vulnerable or stressed customers.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure accuracy and integrity in all interactions and documentation.

- Proven experience in delivering quality customer service, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced call centre environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and empathetically.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a commitment to helping others.
