Talenza have been engaged by an Australian fund manager to source an experienced EPMO Manager to work with the organisation to drive enterprise-wide strategic initiatives. The role is responsible and accountable for overseeing the organisation's project portfolio in its totality. In this critical role, you will work closely with leadership and stakeholders to support the effective delivery of business goals and foster a culture of operational and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Effective Stakeholder Partnerships: Build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on project goals and strategic priorities. Act as a trusted advisor, managing expectations, and delivering value through clear communication and understanding of organisational needs.

Portfolio & Program Oversight:

Oversee the full project and program portfolio, ensuring initiatives align with the organisation's strategic vision. Manage program planning, prioritisation, and optimisation to achieve portfolio balance and drive measurable outcomes for the business.

Championing Delivery Excellence:

Lead the design and refinement of project delivery frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to drive consistency and excellence across the portfolio. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.

Resource & Capacity Optimisation:

Manage and optimise resources across multiple programs, aligning capacity with business demands and project priorities. Track and evaluate resource needs, ensuring efficient allocation and utilisation to support successful project execution.

Leading Change Initiatives:

Drive the successful implementation of change management practices across projects, facilitating effective adaptation and engagement at all organisational levels. Provide tools, guidance, and communication strategies that ease transitions and maximize project adoption and impact.

Performance Tracking & Insightful Reporting:

Develop and oversee performance metrics and reporting mechanisms that offer transparency and insights into project progress, challenges, and outcomes. Prepare regular updates and analytical reports for senior management and key stakeholders, enabling data-driven decision-making.

Policy & Process Optimisation:

Lead the development and continuous improvement of EPMO policies, procedures, and standards to enhance governance, consistency, and operational efficiency across project management functions.

About You:

You bring a proven track record of success in EPMO, project management, or a similar role, ideally within the finance or fund management sectors.

Strong ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments and drive alignment across various levels.

Expertise in portfolio management, project governance, and methodology implementation.

An analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement, resource management, and data-driven insights.

Demonstrated experience in change management, with a strategic approach to fostering organisational resilience and adaptability.
