The Role

In this role, you will develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive health, safety, and wellbeing programs. You'll provide expert guidance on incident management, risk assessments, and return-to-work strategies to ensure a resilient and safe work environment aligned with Work Health and Safety (WHS)

Key Accountabilities

• WHS Advisory: Provide expert advice to management on WHS compliance, policy adherence, and risk mitigation.
• Incident Management: Oversee incident reporting, investigation, and resolution processes.
• Risk Mitigation: Conduct safety audits, identify hazards, and implement risk reduction strategies.
• Return-to-Work Coordination: Design and manage programs to support employee reintegration post-injury.
• System Enhancement: Collaborate with stakeholders to improve WHS systems, ensuring ongoing alignment with emerging needs.
• Compliance Monitoring: Track and report WHS legislative compliance, proposing improvements as necessary.
• Training & Education: Facilitate WHS and wellbeing training initiatives to enhance workforce knowledge and engagement.

About You

• Extensive knowledge of WHS legislation, risk assessment methodologies, and incident management.
• Proven experience in safety audits, return-to-work planning, and WHS training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
• Capability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, WHS, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
