Role: IT Change ManagerContract Length: 12-months + extensionsLocation: Canberra, Brisbane, or Melbourne (Hybrid). Candidates in other locations may be considered with possible travel to Canberra.Must have or be able to obtain Baseline Clearance

The role is essential in overseeing and managing all IT change activities, ensuring that changes are carried out effectively, with minimal impact to the business. You will play a key role in defining, implementing, and maintaining change management processes to support business growth, optimize IT operations, and drive positive user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement IT change management strategies that support business objectives and operational efficiency.
  • Impact Assessment: Analyze potential impacts of IT changes, identifying risks and mitigating disruption across systems and processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project teams, IT staff, and business stakeholders to ensure that changes are well-communicated, documented, and aligned with organizational needs.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in change management processes, adopting best practices to enhance service delivery and user satisfaction.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track and report on change effectiveness, compliance, and any deviations, providing insights for future improvements.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience: Extensive experience in IT change management within an enterprise-level or highly regulated environment, with a demonstrated track record of successful change implementations and process improvements.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and tools for change management, configuration management, and incident management.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to evaluate change impacts, identify root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels, provide clear updates, and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: Ability to thrive in a hybrid working model and manage periodic travel to Canberra for essential meetings and activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
  • Experience in managing change within a public sector or regulatory environment.
