About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Security and Network Specialist to join our NSW Government client, supporting their enterprise infrastructure and ensuring the security and stability of their network environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise firewall management, network security, and secure edge solutions, along with excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to security hygiene and incident response.

Key Responsibilities:

• Firewall Expertise (Enterprise Environments) - Configure, manage, and maintain enterprise-level firewalls. Mandatory

  • Preferred vendors: Cisco FTD, Fortigate, Juniper SRX
  • Bonus: Cisco ACI experience

• Security Hygiene and Incident Response - Implement best practices for security hygiene, respond to incidents, and perform proactive monitoring to maintain a secure environment. Mandatory

• Proxy / Secure Edge Configuration - Configure and manage secure edge solutions. Mandatory

  • Preferred vendor: Netskope Secure Edge

• Load Balancing Expertise - Deploy and manage load balancing solutions across enterprise networks. Mandatory

  • Preferred vendor: Citrix (F5 experience also considered)

• WAN/LAN Expertise - Strong foundational knowledge in WAN/LAN technologies to support diverse network environments. Mandatory

• Security Reporting / SIEM - Familiarity with security reporting tools and SIEM for comprehensive network analysis and reporting. Optional
