Job Title: Instructional Designer & Change Specialist - Digital Learning
Contract: Until 30/06/2025 + Possible Extension or Permanency
Rate: $100 per hour + Super (7 Hours per day)
Location: Rhodes or Wollongong NSW (1 day PW in Office) 1 day per month mandatory in Wollongong
In this hybrid role, you will combine your expertise in instructional design, change management, and digital knowledge to develop an engaging training program. This program will help employees and the public embrace and effectively use digital tools, platforms and safety knowledge. You will play a pivotal role in creating a culture of learning and adaptability during periods of transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instructional Design: Develop, implement, and evaluate engaging and effective digital knowledge training content using adult learning principles.
- Change Management: Partner with stakeholders to develop strategies that promote smooth transitions during the implementation of new digital tools or processes.
- Content Development: Create blended learning materials (e.g., e-learning modules, workshops, webinars, guides) tailored to diverse audiences and levels of technical proficiency.
- Needs Analysis: Conduct assessments to identify digital skill gaps and customise solutions to address them.
- Engagement: Build relationships across departments to champion a digital-first mindset and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Evaluation & Feedback: Measure the effectiveness of training programs and make iterative improvements based on feedback and outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in digital instructional design, change management, organisational development or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of digital tools, platforms, and trends (e.g., collaboration tools, cloud platforms, analytics software).
- Exceptional facilitation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience applying change management frameworks is beneficial (e.g., ADKAR, Kotter's Model).
- Ability to analyse data and use insights to inform training and change strategies.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
